We are Joop Ringelberg and Cor Baars. Two cognitive scientists who, after a career in IT, have spent the past few years developing Perspectives, a radically new way of thinking about software and systems. Based on our knowledge of human cognition, AI and technology, we have developed a new language for modeling applications. A language that also runs on a fully distributed platform.
In doing so, we have worked towards two goals. The first is to base the thinking about software and systems on the cognitive abilities we possess as humans. This in contrast to current languages and tools that draw primarily on technological concepts, particularly databases and client-server architectures.
The second goal is to make the internet secure against privacy breaches and data theft. An internet that does not revolve around servers and data centers of service providers who use our data to exploit it outside the context in which it originated, but around the devices we already use. And not based on blockchain and cryptocurrencies that purportedly serve the same goal.
At the moment we run a small number of Perspectives Projects to gain experience in different Domains and Cases. We will report on our progression regularly.
